Since going gluten-free 2.5 years ago, I’ve sort of pooh-poohed gluten-free bread products. They all sorta taste weird to me, and I’ve gone the route of sticking with foods that are naturally gluten-free. But I think I’ve changed my mind.
I’d heard about Udi bread recently, and the passion with which people were going on about it inspired me to grab a loaf. I mean, don’t you just kinda believe everything Shauna at Gluten-free Goddess and the Chef tells you? I do!
And oh.my.god. You have to try it. Gluten-free or not, it’s delicious. I haven’t had a sandwich or toast or anything like that in years. This was a revelation.
So guess what I made myself for dinner tonight?
That’s right — french toast with maple syrup. Yummmm-o! Go get yourself some Udi bread – you won’t be disappointed.
I finally got to try that bread while I was on holidays in California this summer. It sustained me thru a few theme parks and a particular zoo that were not very gluten-free friendly. It was amazing. I could make a PB sandwich untoasted and not gag when I ate it!
Too bad they don’t sell it anywhere in Canada that is close to me.
So glad you were able to try the Udi bread, Sharon! It’s so yummy! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! 🙂
