I went to my first-ever State Fair today! Actually, it was my first fair of any kind seeing as I’ve never been to a county fair or anything of that sort. It was wacky and kitschy and fun. I mean where else can you find Women’s Roller Derby, fried Oreos, prize-winning jam, quilts and elephant ears?
And since I’m so into farm animals these days, it was fun to check out all the ones they had on display — the baby pigs were so cute; the cows ginormous, and roosters a hoot.
My obsession with goats lives on. Look at all the cuties I was able to see today. Too bad we don’t have an acre in our backyard or I would have brought one home!
